Method of making Kratom extract tincture

Initially, you go for four to six ounces of Kratom powder and every four ounces of Kratom, you must use one liter of alcohol. The suggested amount is mentioned below;

4 oz. (113g) of powdered kratom with 473ml of 40% alcohol
or7 oz. (198g) of dried kratom leaves to 1 liter of 40% alcohol

The next step is to mix alcohol with the leaves in a glass container and cover it. Shake it thoroughly and then add citric acid into it till the pH drops to 4. Use a pH paper to identify the pH of the mixture. Next, you take a water bath, heat it and steep your glass container into it for an hour. After an hour, heat the water again. (Remember removing the glass container while heating the water).

Next, using a sieve, you can strain the Kratom out of the tincture and allow it to get evaporated. The alcohol should get reduced to 50% of original amount; this is when you are done with the evaporation of your tincture. Measure the final weight of the tincture and determine the potency of your tincture by simple calculations.

Divide the initial volume of Kratom by the final product’s size. This will tell you the potency of your tincture. Pour your tincture into an amber colored glass container. Label the strain used and the date of production. Store it away from light in a cool place. The tincture usually remains active for a year after it is prepared.
